When creating a regression line (or line of best fit), perform the following steps:
1) Calculate x bar and y bar (see your notes for proper notation), the averages of x and y.
2) Plot this point on your graph; the line of best fit should contain this point
3) Estimate the slope and draw your line through the data and through your average-average point
Check your line of best fit using your calculator by performing the following steps:
1) Enter your data into L1 and L2
2) Perform a linear regression, and store your equation into Y1 (VARS)
